Samsung is preparing to launch its latest budget 5G phone, the Galaxy M36, in India - and this time, the company seems to have younger users in mind.  A teaser video on YouTube this week confirmed the device’s redesigned, lightweight look - along with a familiar sub-₹20,000 price tag. I have used M series in past, grip of the phone was aweful, i hope they work on it in this version.

According to india today recent reports The Galaxy M36, which follows last year’s M35, sticks to the same Exynos 1380 chipset as its predecessor, according to early Geekbench leaks.

In other words, buyers hoping for a performance jump may be left waiting.

That may explain why Samsung is focusing more on design this time. The teaser shows a flatter back with boxy edges and curved frames, in what looks like a silver finish.

The triple-camera module now sits flush with the rear - a cleaner look compared to the chunkier setup on the M35.

Samsung is also promising a “sleek and extremely lightweight” device - likely appealing to younger buyers moving up from entry-level phones.

The front design wasn’t shown, but a punch-hole display is expected.

As for pricing, Samsung has confirmed the M36 will stay under ₹20,000 - probably at ₹19,999, like the M35 — though the official launch date hasn’t been announced.

The phone will be sold via Amazon.

There’s no word yet on battery size or display specs.

The M35 came with a large 6,000mAh battery and 120Hz AMOLED panel, so similar hardware seems likely - but whether Samsung will add any meaningful upgrades remains to be seen.

For now, the M36 seems aimed more at style-conscious buyers than power users.

Whether that’s enough in a crowded market - where rivals like the Redmi Note 14 and iQOO Z9 offer faster chips - will become clear after launch.

In my opinion:  I think Samsung is positioning as this phone m36 phone as mid-range segment.

From teaser look the phone looks premium and it can attract young buyers for sure.

In past i have noticed that samsung is becoming very clever with pricing of 20,000 range

This price segment is very highly competitive as Brands like realme and redmi with price difference of 1000 INR can change make huge difference in for customer.

The price point of 20k seems samsung is targeting online first customers who prefers brand and after sales service instead of cheap specs.

I think this price play crucial role during Amazon and flipcart sale season. As budget conscious buyers would be keen to buy this phone.
