Apple iPhone 17 Pro Max Price in India Revealed: AI Features, Camera Strip & Global Rates Out Now New Delhi | July 28, 2025 By Michael B. Norris A Familiar Ping, A New Era I still remember the exact moment my iPhone 12 buzzed in my pocket at a crowded metro station in Delhi. It was 2020, and I’d just taken the plunge into Apple’s tightly-woven ecosystem after years on Android.  That vibration wasn’t a call or message - it was an alert that my new iPhone was out for delivery.  As a tech journalist, I knew I was joining more than a platform - I was stepping into a lifestyle millions obsess over. Since then, every September has felt like Christmas Eve for Indian Apple fans. But this year feels different.  The iPhone 17 series, especially the iPhone 17 Pro Max, represents a subtle shift in Apple’s hardware strategy - one that signals both continuity and evolution.  This article offers not just a breakdown of specs and price, but a ground-level view of how this r...

Xiaomi Mix Flip 2, Pad 7S Pro, K 80 Ultra, YU7 SUV Launches Coming Soon

Xiaomi Mix Flip 2, Pad 7S Pro, K 80 Ultra, YU7 SUV: New Foldable, Tablet, Flagship, and EV Set to Launch

In what’s shaping up to be a packed July, Xiaomi is rolling out a fresh batch of devices designed to push the boundaries of foldables, tablets, performance smartphones - and even electric vehicles.

With official teasers dropping this week on Weibo and Mi.com, the brand seems poised to capitalize on rising demand in India and the US.

Covering Xiaomi’s product cycles for over a decade now, I’ve noticed how their mid-year launches have evolved.

There was a time when July releases were quietly aimed at the China market. Today, global Android fans, especially in India, eagerly track each teaser and leak - and for good reason.

Pushing Foldables and Flagship Power

Xiaomi’s upcoming Mix Flip 2 looks set to directly challenge Samsung’s Z Flip 5 and Moto Razr+ in the foldable space. “The Mix Flip 2 represents our next step in foldable innovation, reinforcing durability and seamless display experiences for everyday users,” according to a Xiaomi spokesperson.

Meanwhile, the Redmi K 80 Ultra will cater to hardcore Android fans and mobile gamers with a likely Dimensity 9300 or Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 under the hood.

This device continues the K series legacy of offering flagship specs at a fraction of premium prices.

Having tested earlier K series phones at launch events, I can say they consistently deliver surprising performance for the cost.

Tablets with Purpose

Xiaomi is also strengthening its tablet lineup. The Pad 7S Pro 12.5 and the budget-friendly Redmi K Pad are geared toward students, creators, and casual gamers - segments that have grown rapidly in India post-pandemic.

“The 7S Pro 12.5 has an eye on the iPad Pro segment but with Xiaomi’s value-first philosophy,” an industry analyst told me during a recent briefing. “The goal is to bring pro-grade screens and stylus support at one-third the cost.”

The Boldest Move? An EV Play

Xiaomi’s YU7 SUV could be the brand’s boldest 2025 move yet. EV buzz is everywhere in China and India, and Xiaomi wants in. “Xiaomi’s strategy with the YU7 SUV shows the brand isn’t just chasing EV specs. It’s leaning into premium build quality and real-world usability,” added the same analyst.

I still remember attending the Beijing Auto Show a few years ago, when few believed Xiaomi would enter this space. Now, their SUV teaser on Mi.com looks like a serious statement.

Market Context: Competition is Tight

These new launches arrive at a time when Samsung’s foldables, Apple’s iPads, and OnePlus’s high-performance phones dominate the market conversation.

If Xiaomi sticks to its signature playbook - aggressive specs at disruptive prices - the Mix Flip 2 and K 80 Ultra could steal some thunder, especially in India’s growing Android community. The tablet market, too, is more competitive post-iPad Pro M4, giving Xiaomi both opportunity and challenge.

In India, there’s also a hunger for new EV options, with Tata, MG, and Hyundai getting early traction. If the YU7 delivers at ₹29.9 lakh, Xiaomi could surprise the segment.

US vs India

While Xiaomi foldables and tablets often hit India and China first, the US sees slower rollouts. Software restrictions and carrier support remain hurdles for Xiaomi’s US ambitions.

But even without an official US carrier partner, many enthusiasts in the States are likely to import the Mix Flip 2 and Pad 7S Pro 12.5 for unlocked use - something I’ve observed growing each year.

In India, the story is different. Xiaomi has built an army of Mi fans. Foldable and tablet adoption is accelerating, while the EV market is ready for new players beyond two-wheelers.

Competitor comparison

The Mix Flip 2 would significantly undercut the Samsung Z Flip 5, priced around ₹99,999 in India. Similarly, the K 80 Ultra could rival OnePlus 12 and Galaxy S24+ at lower price points.

Huawei Watch GT 6 India Launch Leak: Two Sizes, Stylish Colors, Long Battery

Huawei Watch GT 6 India Launch Leak: Two Sizes, Stylish Colors, Long Battery New Delhi – July 23, 2025 By Michael B. Norris, Senior Tech Correspondent   When I ran my first half-marathon wearing the Huawei Watch GT 5, I didn’t expect it to outperform my chest strap monitor. It was early morning, cool winds cutting through Lodhi Gardens, and I’d just passed the 8km mark.  That’s when I glanced down at the GT 5 - expecting some lag or off-reading.  But no - it was spot-on, closely mirroring my Polar heart rate strap. Even after two hours, the battery barely budged. That experience marked a turning point in how I viewed Huawei's smartwatches.  The Watch GT series has always leaned into endurance over extravagance.  With the Watch GT 6 expected this fall, Huawei seems to be refining this formula - this time offering two case sizes and an array of bold new colors aimed at casual users and fitness-minded customers alike. But behind the color names and numbers lies som...

Nokia 5G Mobile New Launch: HMD Pulse 2, Crest 2, Bold Series Specs Leaked Ahead of India Debut

Nokia 5G Mobile New Launch: HMD Pulse 2, Crest 2, Bold Series Specs Leaked Ahead of India Debut Mumbai | July 22, 2025 I still remember standing in a cramped electronics shop in Karol Bagh, Delhi, back in 2017, clutching my last ₹10,000 and scanning the budget smartphone shelves with quiet desperation.  My previous phone - a once-reliable Nokia - had finally quit on me. I wanted something simple, durable, and capable of running the basics without overheating or dying halfway through the day.  What I got instead was a sluggish, ad-riddled Chinese model that began freezing within weeks. Ever since then, I’ve paid close attention to the budget smartphone space - not as a tech reviewer, but as someone who knows what it’s like when every rupee counts. That’s why the latest leaks around HMD Global - the company that once brought Nokia phones back into relevance - caught my attention. This isn’t just another spec dump. It’s potentially a quiet revolution in the sub-₹15,000 market. A...

HUAWEI MatePad Pro 12.2 Launched in India: 2000-Nit OLED, Glide Keyboard, Stylus Support

HUAWEI MatePad Pro 12.2 Launched in India: 2000-Nit OLED, Glide Keyboard, Stylus Support By Michael B Norris - July 25, 2025   I Left My Laptop Behind - And Didn’t Regret It Last month, I was en route to a regional tech forum in Kuala Lumpur. My usual travel companion? A compact but heavy ultrabook that’s been my workhorse for years. But this time, by accident more than intention, I left it charging at the office.  What I had in my bag instead was the newly released HUAWEI MatePad Pro 12.2 inch, still wrapped in review plastic and paired with its Glide Keyboard and M-Pencil. With deadlines looming and hours of panel coverage ahead, the panic should’ve hit me - but surprisingly, it didn’t. Over the next three days, I typed reports, edited video snippets, drew rough infographic sketches, and livestreamed commentary - all from this 508g tablet. It wasn’t just functional; it was liberating. That field experience is what makes the “Can tablets replace laptops?” debate more real th...
