Realme 15 Pro Plus India Launch: Snapdragon 7 Gen 4, 7,000 mAh Battery, ₹28,999 Starting Price I still remember standing in a small mobile shop in Connaught Place five years ago, holding my first Realme phone. The device was surprisingly snappy, yet affordable - an unusual combination at the time. It felt like Realme had cracked the code for Indian buyers seeking high performance without spending a fortune. Today, the launch of the Realme 15 Pro Plus promises to revisit that philosophy, but with a far more ambitious approach. Power Under the Hood: Midrange Performance Redefined The Realme 15 Pro Plus is powered by the Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 chipset, while the standard Realme 15 comes with the MediaTek Dimensity 7300+ SoC. OPPO A5i Smartphone Specifications Review: 45W Fast Charging, 5100mAh Battery Revealed

OPPO A5i Smartphone Specifications Out: 45W Fast Charging, 5100mAh Battery Revealed

OPPO A5i Smartphone Specifications Review: 45W Fast Charging, 5100mAh Battery Revealed

My First Encounter with the OPPO A5i

It was a humid July evening in Delhi when my aunt called, worried that her phone wouldn’t charge anymore.

She lives alone, runs a small tailoring business, and barely understands smartphones beyond the basics. “Son, Get me a low cost phone that doesnt needs frequent repairs.”

That same night, I walked into a small mobile store, and there it wasOPPO A5i, glowing under a budget phone shelf like it had something to prove.

The shopkeeper casually said, “Madam, This phone is latest. Battery can stay long 45W fast charge is possible.”

That combination - long battery life and blazing-fast charging - for a phone under ₹12,000? I was skeptical. But I bought it.

That was six months ago. I’ve watched my aunt use it daily - snapping photos of her designs, listening to devotional music, checking WhatsApp orders - all without calling me every week for “technical help.”

That’s when I realized: OPPO A5i isn’t just a phone - it’s a gateway to digital dignity for non-tech-savvy users.

And that’s the lens I’ll use here. Not just specs on a glossy page, but honest impressions, rooted in use, need, and expectation.

The Practical Specs That Actually Matter (To Real Users)

Design That Doesn’t Feel “Budget”

The OPPO A5i comes in Nebula Red and Starry Purple - neither of which scream “cheap.” With a 7.68mm thin body and weighing about 186g, it feels lighter than it looks.

I’ve held phones double the price that feel clunky in comparison.

What’s more, the twice-reinforced Panda and China Southern glass on the front adds real resilience.

My aunt’s phone has slipped twice on her kitchen floor. No cracks. No complaints.

Display: Bright Enough for Harsh Indian Sunlight

OPPO has equipped the A5i with a 6.67” LCD screen, offering 1000nits brightness.

This, honestly, was surprising. A thousand nits in this price bracket is rare. Most phones at this range barely hit 500–600.

And for my aunt, who checks messages and videos while standing outside in daylight, this makes a tangible difference.

The 90Hz refresh rate and HD+ resolution (1604 × 720) won’t blow away gamers or Netflix junkies, but they’re more than enough for daily scrolling, YouTube, and Facebook.

Especially with 264PPI, things don’t look pixelated unless you're deliberately pixel-peeping.

Performance Without the Marketing Hype

Let’s not sugarcoat it: Snapdragon 6s Gen 1 (4G) isn’t a powerhouse.

But paired with 4GB/6GB LPDDR4X RAM and eMMC 5.1 storage, it handles multitasking decently.

My aunt switches between WhatsApp, YouTube, and the camera - no hiccups.

What stands out more is stability. No unexplained lags. No crashes. No random overheating.

That’s more valuable to a non-tech user than benchmark scores they’ll never understand.

And the 45W SUPERVOOC charging? It’s not just a bragging right - it’s liberation.

From zero to over 70% in 30 minutes. That’s a relief when your entire workday depends on your phone.

Camera: Let’s Be Real

This isn’t a phone for mobile photographers. The 8MP rear camera and 5MP front shooter are functional at best. But for casual selfies, QR scanning, or photographing receipts or tailoring work, it holds up.

What’s worth noting is the software. Modes like Text Scanner, Portrait, and Night Mode give basic flexibility, and Extra HD does sharpen images noticeably.

But there’s no stabilisation, and low-light photos get noisy fast.

This is where real expectations matter. My aunt uses the camera to click photos of her embroidery or scan QR codes - nothing more.

It does that well. And to someone who previously owned a keypad phone, it’s a revelation.

Battery Life That Just Doesn’t Quit

The 5100mAh battery (typical) is the soul of this phone.

My aunt easily gets two full days of moderate use. This includes calling, WhatsApp, music, and watching bhajans on YouTube.

Unlike some mid-range phones that boast high capacity but drain fast due to bloatware or background processes, ColorOS 14 here is lightweight and smart with power management.

It quietly closes unused apps, and the Smart Power Saver mode actually works.

And in emergencies? The fast charging becomes a life-saver. From 0% to 100% in under 60 minutes.

Small Touches That Build Trust

Let’s talk about sensors - not glamorous, but they work well. The side-mounted fingerprint sensor is accurate and fast.

Face Unlock works reliably in daylight. The accelerometer and ambient light sensor mean screen brightness adjusts well without constant fiddling.

Also, the 3.5mm headphone jack is still present. For users like my aunt, Bluetooth is a bridge too far. Wired earphones are her comfort zone.

The dual SIM support, OTG capabilities, and SD card slot for up to 1TB expansion make it a truly flexible workhorse - especially for users with no cloud storage habits.

ColorOS 14: Understated Yet Friendly

If you’ve used ColorOS before, you’ll know it’s evolved a lot. In this phone, it’s streamlined and minimal, without unnecessary preloaded junk.

Navigation is clean, and animations are snappy. Features like app cloner, smart sidebar, and three-finger screenshot are small but thoughtful additions that real people actually use.

For older or less tech-savvy users, these quality-of-life features are what ease the friction of moving to a smartphone.

Where It Falls Short - And Why That’s Okay

Yes, there are limitations:

No 5G - but in many parts of India, 4G is still the norm, especially for budget buyers.

HD+ screen instead of Full HD - but the brightness compensates.

Low internal storage in the 64GB variant - though expandable via SD card.

No ultra-wide or macro camera - but those features are often more gimmick than necessity at this price.

It’s important to call these out, not to diminish the phone, but to be real.

This isn’t a flagship. It’s a practical, affordable tool. And it lives up to that promise well.

A Word on Build and Durability

The twice-reinforced glass is a boon, but I still recommend a good tempered glass and protective case (thankfully, one comes in the box).

After months of real-world use - bouncing around in handbags, occasionally slipping off tables - there’s barely a scratch.

That’s something specs don’t tell you. But daily life does.

Who Should Buy the OPPO A5i?

This phone isn’t for gamers or camera snobs. But if you’re someone who:

Wants reliable day-to-day performance

Needs long battery life and fast charging

Prefers a bright screen for outdoor use

Doesn’t care about 5G yet

Values simplicity and usability over spec-sheet bragging rights

… then yes, OPPO A5i might be the sleeper hit you didn’t know you needed.

Takeaway: A Budget Phone That Understands Real Life

Let me be brutally honest: I didn’t expect the OPPO A5i to hold up this well. But six months later, watching my aunt use it to grow her tailoring business and stay connected with family, I’ve changed my mind.

This phone isn’t about megapixels or gigahertz. It’s about usability, stability, and lasting value. It nails what matters to real people - especially those upgrading from older or feature phones.

If you’re tired of specs that sound great but feel hollow in daily use, the OPPO A5i is a refreshing return to practical engineering. Not perfect. But honest. And sometimes, that’s more than enough

Realme GT 7 vs OnePlus 13R in India: Which Mid-Range Phone is Best for Gamers or Power Users I remember standing outside Connaught Place under the harsh Delhi sun, juggling two phones in my hands - Realme GT 7 in my left, OnePlus 13R in my right. OnePlus Pad 3 Launch Confirmed: Snapdragon 8s Gen 3, 3K Display, Big Battery Revealed

OnePlus Pad 3 Launch Confirmed: Snapdragon 8s Gen 3, 3K Display, Big Battery Revealed It was during a chaotic airport layover in early July when I first noticed how unwieldy most tablets still feel. A fellow traveler beside me was juggling video calls, PDFs, and spreadsheets on a device that looked cutting-edge but felt clunky. That’s when I remembered OnePlus was preparing to release its newest tablet - the OnePlus Pad 3. I made a mental note: if there was ever a moment a thinner, smarter, AI-enhanced tablet could matter, it was in that busy terminal. Fast forward a few weeks, and OnePlus has confirmed that the Pad 3 will officially go on sale in India this September.  While the announcement might sound like just another product launch in an already crowded market, the Pad 3 stands out - and not just for its specs.  With a blend of power, slim design, and meaningful software improvements, it signals how Android tablets are beginning to seriously challenge the iPad’s long-held...
