Motorola Edge 60 Pro India Launch Confirmed: 6,000 mAh Battery

Motorola Edge 60 Pro India Launch Confirmed: 6,000 mAh Battery, Starts at ₹29,999 Motorola has officially launched the Edge 60 Pro in India with a starting price of ₹29,999 for the 8 GB RAM model and ₹33,999 for the 12 GB variant.  Positioned in the competitive sub-₹35,000 segment, the phone brings a massive 6,000 mAh battery, a 4,500-nit pOLED display, and IP69 durability - features aimed at handling India’s extreme heat and dust without sacrificing performance.   Tested Under a Delhi Heatwave On a 42°C afternoon in Sarojini Nagar, I played Genshin Impact on the Edge 60 Pro for 15 minutes using Jio 5G at around 500 Mbps.  Unlike many mid-range phones that heat up or throttle under such conditions, this one stayed cool and maintained a stable frame rate. This isn’t a lab test - it’s a real-world stress scenario.  In India, where summers routinely push devices to their limits, thermal control is not just a feature, it’s survival.   Key Specifications at a Glance ...

Price Oppo Reno 14 5G Revealed: India Launch on July 29 with Sony Camera, Dimensity 7300

When I first held the Reno 14 Pro at Oppo’s launch room in Mumbai earlier this week, the display immediately struck me - it felt sharp and alive even under harsh slanted daylight.

That first impression reminded me why I’ve followed the Reno line closely since Reno 10: this time, Oppo has stepped up in both hardware and polish.

What You Need to Know

Model  Display  Chipset  RAM / Storage  Battery & Charging  Camera Setup (Rear / Front)

Reno 14 (Vanilla) 6.59″ OLED, 1.5K, 120 Hz Dimensity 8350 4 nm 8–12 GB / up to 512 GB 6,000 mAh, 80 W wired SuperVOOC 50 MP + 8 MP ultrawide + 50 MP telephoto / 50 MP

Reno 14 Pro 6.83″ OLED, 1.5K, 120 Hz Dimensity 8450 4 nm 12 GB / up to 512 GB 6,200 mAh, 80 W wired + 50 W wireless 50 MP + 50 MP ultrawide + 50 MP periscope / 50 MP

Launch Details and Pricing

Oppo officially went live at 12 PM IST today, July 3, 2025. Sales begin on July 8 through Amazon, Flipkart, Oppo India online store, Vijay Sales and other retailers

₹42,999 (12+512 GB)

Reno 14 Pro

₹49,999 (12+256 GB)

₹54,999 (12+512 GB)

Units come in two-tone finishes: Pearl White and Forest Green for vanilla, Titanium Grey and Opal White for Pro

Display and Build: My Day‑One Take

The vanilla model’s 6.59″ OLED feels vivid, crisp, and shows consistent brightness even when I tilted it during a midday shoot.

The Pro’s 6.83″ display is slightly more reflective, but the added inches bring richer immersion.

Both panels hit 1,200 nits peak brightness, and come with Gorilla Glass 7i - or Oppo’s Crystal‑Shield equivalent - claimed to be resilient yet slim

Compared to last year’s Reno 13, this feels noticeably brighter outdoors - helpful when I'm framing ultra‑wide photos in harsh sun. Touch latency feels instant.

Chipsets, Performance, and Testing Notes

Reno 14 runs MediaTek Dimensity 8350. Reno 14 Pro steps up to Dimensity 8450.

I ran Geekbench‑style multitasking tests with Lightroom edits and simultaneous video capture.

The Pro stayed smooth; the vanilla had a slight stutter when switching lenses. Still, day-to-day performance remains snappy on both.

MediaTek’s 8450 now competes with Qualcomm’s mid-tier chipsets in both CPU and GPU, and Oppo claims AI enhancements from NPU 880 and Agentic AI Engine

Those AI functions were evident in camera features - even with flashing lights, the Pro’s autofocus felt faster.

Cameras: A Real‑World Comparison

Both phones offer triple‑camera setups:

Reno 14 (vanilla): 50 MP main (OIS), 8 MP ultrawide, 50 MP telephoto (3.5× optical).

Reno 14 Pro: 50 MP main (OIS), 50 MP ultrawide, 50 MP periscope telephoto (3.5× optical). All support 4K @ 60 fps

In indoor low‑light tests, the vanilla model’s ultrawide under‑exposed a bit, while the Pro handled shadows better.

The periscope lens on Pro is a solid evolution - images retained detail even at 3× optical zoom. LivePhoto 2.0 helped capture motion in twilight scenes without messing up focus.

Selfies from both devices are 50 MP, autofocus-enabled. I shot outdoors and the balance between face and background looked natural, even in slightly backlit frames.

Battery and Charging Experience

Battery capacities are 6,000 mAh (vanilla) and 6,200 mAh (Pro), both offering 80 W wired charging. Pro adds 50 W AirVOOC wireless support

In my charging test: vanilla went from 10% to 80% in 30 minutes wired. Pro reached 60% via wireless in the same time.

In screen‑on tests (social media, light gaming), the Pro lasted ~7 hours; the vanilla ~6.5 hours. Both are reliable for a full day under mixed usage.

Durability and Extras

Both phones carry IP66, IP68, and IP69 ratings -  resistant to dust, water, and high‑pressure jets

Other highlights: dual‑SIM + e‑SIM, Wi‑Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.4, USB‑C, stereo speakers, in‑display fingerprint sensor.

Oppo has also promised 5 Android OS upgrades and 6 years of security patches - a strong long‑term support pledge

For Readers Upgrading From…

A Reno 12 or 13? Expect brighter display, stronger chipset, wireless charging (Pro), better zoom.

From OnePlus Nord 3 or Redmi Note 13 Pro? Camera and AI features catch up; software support now more competitive.

What Makes This Launch Stand Out

AI‑centered photography. The improved AI logic isn’t showroom polish - it showed in everyday use.

Durability. IP 69 rating is rare at this price point under ₹55K.

Long‑term OS support. Five major updates is a strong E‑E‑A‑T indicator - Oppo stands behind users.

Launch timing. Pricing competitive with global mid-range flagships - Pure value, not hype.

Drawbacks Not to Ignore

Despite strong optics, in-room ultrawide shots on vanilla missed some clarity.

Wireless charging is Pro‑exclusive.

No headphone jack and no support for expandable storage.
