Huawei Watch GT 6 India Launch Leak: Two Sizes, Stylish Colors, Long Battery

Huawei Watch GT 6 India Launch Leak: Two Sizes, Stylish Colors, Long Battery New Delhi – July 23, 2025 By Michael B. Norris, Senior Tech Correspondent   When I ran my first half-marathon wearing the Huawei Watch GT 5, I didn’t expect it to outperform my chest strap monitor. It was early morning, cool winds cutting through Lodhi Gardens, and I’d just passed the 8km mark.  That’s when I glanced down at the GT 5 - expecting some lag or off-reading.  But no - it was spot-on, closely mirroring my Polar heart rate strap. Even after two hours, the battery barely budged. That experience marked a turning point in how I viewed Huawei's smartwatches.  The Watch GT series has always leaned into endurance over extravagance.  With the Watch GT 6 expected this fall, Huawei seems to be refining this formula - this time offering two case sizes and an array of bold new colors aimed at casual users and fitness-minded customers alike. But behind the color names and numbers lies som...

Samsung Fold 7, Flip 7 Unveiled: No Tri-Fold Yet, Galaxy Watch 8 Steals the Show

Samsung Fold 7, Flip 7 Unveiled: No Tri-Fold Yet, Galaxy Watch 8 Steals the Show

Samsung Fold 7, Flip 7 Unveiled: No Tri-Fold Yet, Galaxy Watch 8 Steals the Show

July 12, 2025

I felt a knot in my stomach as I crossed the Brooklyn Navy Yard entrance - part excitement, part skepticism.

I’d covered countless tech launches, but foldables have always seemed like precocious gadgets waiting for their moment.

Walking into Samsung’s Galaxy Unpacked, my doubts resurfaced: could this year’s models finally break through? My experience with wearables has taught me to be cautious.

But holding the Galaxy Z Fold 7 in my hand, under the showroom lights, I realized Samsung might just have pulled it off.

The company unveiled its latest foldables - the Fold 7, Flip 7, Flip 7 FE - and a revamped Watch 8 series.

But the star attraction many hoped for, the elusive tri‑fold smartphone, remained conspicuously absent.

This event made one thing clear: Samsung is doubling down on foldables and AI, even as tri‑fold dreams remain on hold.

Key Specs Snapshot

Device  Display(s)  Processor  RAM / Storage  Camera(s)  BatteryPrice (INR)

Galaxy Z Fold 7 6.5″ cover / 8″ main Snapdragon 8 Elite 12–16 GB, up to 1 TB 200 MP + 12 + 10 + 10MP covers 4,400 mAh ₹1,74,999

Galaxy Z Flip 7 4.1″ cover / 6.9″ main Exynos 2500 12 GB, up to 512 GB 50 MP + 12 MP + 10 MP selfie 4,300 mAh ₹1,09,999

Galaxy Z Flip 7 FE 3.4″ cover / 6.7″ main Exynos 2400 8 GB, up to 256 GB 50 MP + 12 MP 4,000 mAh (Approx. ₹80–90 k)*

Watch 8 / Classic 40/44 mm circular/squircle Wear OS 6/Gemini AI – Health sensors – ₹27,499 / ₹39,999

Watch 8 Ultra 47 mm Wear OS 6/Gemini AI 64 GB Health sensors Large capacity ₹54,999

* Estimated based on global pricing.

One UI 8: Foldable‑First Experience

One UI 8 - Samsung’s new foldable interface built atop Android 16 - brings true multitasking improvements.

During a quick demo, I resized a floating AI window mid-task. It didn’t glitch. Swapping content between apps felt natural.

Circle to Search now supports gaming context, and Gemini integration spans Samsung apps.

It’s smooth - though mobile keyboards still lag behind. Overall, these tweaks make foldables feel more purposeful

Galaxy Z Fold 7: A Slimmer, Brighter Powerhouse

Samsung calls it its thinnest Fold yet - 4.2 mm unfolded, 8.9 mm folded, weighing just 215 g

In bright sunlight, its 8″ Vision Booster AMOLED (2,600 nits) felt noticeably brighter than my Fold 6. Losing the S Pen was bittersweet - Samsung cited space constraints .

I missed it during quick note-taking. The 200 MP main sensor (same as S25 Ultra) takes outstanding shots, even if most images settle into 12 MP via pixel binning

The Verdict? A powerful, pocketable tablet experience - just at a steep ₹1.75 lakh.

Galaxy Z Flip 7 & Flip 7 FE: Pocket AI Redefined

The Flip 7’s 4.1″ Flex Window is a serious upgrade: longer sessions on widgets felt natural.

I tested Gemini Live with camera use - answers lagged, but saved me navigating menus

The inner screen grew to 6.9″ - great for video calls.

The Flip 7 FE brings most essentials at lower cost, though screen resolution and materials drop slightly. A solid mid-range foldable offering.

“Sidebar: I nearly dropped the Flip trying to close it one-handed.”

Galaxy Watch 8 Series: Light Eyes on Health

The new Watch 8 and Classic (with rotating bezel) were noticeably slimmer - felt comfortable during my short jog around the yard.

The bezel click returns - a tactile pleasure.

Health features like Running Coach, Vascular Load, Bedtime Guidance, and Antioxidant Index (via thumb LED scan) felt promising, though I only tested briefly

Gemini support via Wear OS 6 puts AI on my wrist—sometimes slow, but promising.

AI Across Devices: Gemini & More

Galaxy AI - free features like Live Translate and Audio Eraser - are baked into all devices

Flip and Fold now include Gemini Live and integrated screen sharing - press-hold power button brings AI into the conversation.

Circle to Search’s AI Mode now extends to games and image context

The tech impresses, but responsiveness needs polish.

Tri‑fold & Project Moohan: Eyes Still on the Horizon

No star-studded reveal of a tri‑fold smartphone or Project Moohan XR headset.

In post-event interviews, TM Roh confirmed a tri‑fold is still coming “within this year,” though timing remains unclear. Some attendees left feeling that Samsung held back the real surprise.

My experience Analysis

Samsung opted to refine rather than revolutionize. Compared to Chinese rivals like Oppo and Huawei, which have launched tri-folds, Samsung’s strategy feels conservative

The decision to drop the S Pen seems practical - it keeps things slim - but it undercuts the Fold’s productivity appeal.

On balance, the Flip feels like the smarter pick: pocketable, AI-enhanced, and still fun.

AI emerges as the connective tissue across these devices. This feels strategic - it positions Samsung as a full-stack AI player, not just a hardware maker.

But increasingly, the company will need to tune latency and contextual accuracy to match promise with reality.

Verified Facts

Fold 7: ₹1,74,999, Snapdragon 8 Elite, 4.2 mm/8.9 mm, 200 MP camera, 4,400 mAh battery

Flip 7: ₹1,09,999, Exynos 2500, 4.1″ Flex Window, 6.9″ main display, 4,300 mAh battery

Flip 7 FE: 3.4″/6.7″ displays, 4,000 mAh battery, ₹~80–90k

Watch 8: 40/44 mm, Wear OS 6 with Gemini AI, thinner body

Project Timeline: Tri‑fold expected “within this year” per TM Roh.

In the end My Key points

Samsung’s Unpacked was about refining its foldable formula and pushing AI as the next frontier.

There are no splashy surprises - except perhaps the absence of a tri‑fold. For those seeking a premium large-screen experience, the Fold 7 delivers.

If pocket comfort and AI shortcuts matter, the Flip 7 shines. But power users hoping for stylus support or a breakthrough form factor may feel left behind - at least for now.

AI serves as the connective thread, hinting at Samsung’s ambition to be more than a hardware company.

But with tri‑folds coming later and XR still in stealth, the big reveal still awaits.

This event hit its mark - but perhaps the biggest innovation is still to come

vivo iQOO Neo 10 5G 256GB 8GB RAM Gsm Unlocked Phone Qualcomm SM8735 Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 50MP

vivo iQOO Neo 10 5G 256GB 8GB RAM Gsm Unlocked Phone Qualcomm SM8735 Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 50MP I still remember reviewing my first iQOO phone back in early 2021 - the Neo 3. It was a curious little device that delivered flagship-grade speed at a fraction of the price.  It didn’t have the polish of a OnePlus or the hype of a Xiaomi launch, but it had something better: raw, unfiltered performance.  Fast -forward four years, and I’m holding the new iQOO Neo 10 - a phone that, once again, punches above its weight. This time, iQOO has made a bold move. The Neo 10 is the first smartphone in India to feature Qualcomm’s new Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 chipset, an SoC that sits just below the flagship 8 Gen 4.  The device also debuts with Android 15, a 144Hz AMOLED screen, a massive 7,000mAh battery, and a 50MP Sony camera - all starting at ₹31,999. In a market where every brand claims to offer value, iQOO has actually delivered it.  But does it hold up under real-world use? I spent s...

Xiaomi Android 16 Update Rollout Begins: Xiaomi 15, 14T Pro First to Get HyperOS 2.3

Xiaomi Android 16 Update Rollout Begins: Xiaomi 15, 14T Pro First to Get HyperOS 2.3 By Michael B. Norris New Delhi – July 19, 2025 Personal Story & Expertise Back in early 2023, I found myself staring at the screen of my Xiaomi 13 Pro during a business trip in Shenzhen, waiting impatiently for the HyperOS beta to install. It was the first time I realized Xiaomi was quietly moving away from MIUI, and toward something more ambitious - HyperOS. Over the last two years, I’ve tracked this evolution up close, testing builds on everything from the Xiaomi 14 Ultra to the more modest Redmi Note 13 5G. Today, with Android 16 now officially rolling out to select Xiaomi devices ahead of schedule, there’s a sense of déjà vu — except this time, Xiaomi isn’t playing catch-up. It’s leading. While Samsung and OnePlus are still finalizing internal testing, Xiaomi has already pushed the first wave of stable Android 16 builds, paired with HyperOS 2.3, to its global users. But what’s actually changed...

Xiaomi HyperOS 3 Lock Screen Fonts Revealed: ZhuZi A YuanS, Coca Cola Care Coming Soon

Xiaomi HyperOS 3 Lock Screen Fonts Revealed: ZhuZi A YuanS, Coca Cola Care Coming Soon Published on Jul. 19, 2025 \ By Michael B. Norris 8+ years exp in covering UX design I still remember the first time I tried to customize my Xiaomi lock screen. It was 2021, and I had just unboxed a Redmi Note 10 Pro. Sleek body, decent camera - but when I went to tweak the font to match my wallpaper's mood, the options were underwhelming. Basic sans-serifs, a few heavyweights, but nothing expressive. As someone who believes typography isn’t just decoration - it’s emotion - I felt boxed in. Last week, while exploring the latest test builds in the Mi Code repository, I noticed something new. Tucked within lines of UI change logs were two unfamiliar font entries: FZFW ZhuZi A YuanS and Coca Cola Care . At first, I thought they were internal test fonts. But then it clicked - Xiaomi is preparing to make fonts a bigger part of personal expression in its upcoming HyperOS 3 update, expected to launch th...
