Vivo V80 Price India Launch Tipped for October: Expected Price, 7,200mAh Battery, and Zeiss Upgrades Detailed
I started TrendingAlone to make tech news simple and useful. Every day, I cover the latest smartphone launches, gadgets, and digital updates - but instead of just listing specs, I explain what they actually mean for real users. With over 10 years in tech journalism, I focus on the brands people in India follow most — Samsung, OnePlus, iPhone, Xiaomi, Motorola, and more. My stories are written to help readers quickly understand if a new device or update is worth their time.
Xiaomi has officially expanded its flagship tablet lineup with the new Xiaomi Pad 9 Pro Max, bringing a large 13.3-inch display, the company's Xring O3 chipset, up to 16GB of RAM and a 12,000mAh battery.
The new tablet was announced alongside the Xiaomi 18 Fold. While the Pad 9 Pro Max is positioned as a high-end device, Xiaomi has packed it with hardware aimed at users who want a larger screen without moving to a traditional laptop-sized device.
The biggest feature is the tablet's 13.3-inch LCD display. It has a 3408 × 2272 resolution and a 3:2 aspect ratio, giving the screen a taller workspace than the more common 16:10 tablet format.
The panel also supports a 144Hz refresh rate and reaches up to 1,000 nits of peak brightness.
That combination should make the tablet suitable for everything from media consumption and gaming to productivity tasks where the extra vertical space can be useful.
Under the hood, the Pad 9 Pro Max uses Xiaomi's self-developed Xring O3 SoC, the same chip used in the Xiaomi 18 Fold.
Memory and storage options are extensive. Buyers can choose between 8GB, 12GB or 16GB of RAM, while storage options include 256GB, 512GB and 1TB.
Xiaomi has equipped the Pad 9 Pro Max with a 50MP rear camera featuring optical image stabilization.
For video calls and selfies, the tablet gets a 32MP front-facing camera.
The camera hardware is more substantial than what is typically expected from a tablet, although Xiaomi's positioning of the device appears to focus primarily on its large display and flagship-level performance.
Battery life is another major part of the Pad 9 Pro Max package.
The tablet comes with a 12,000mAh battery and supports 120W wired charging. Xiaomi also lists 27W reverse wired charging and 45W pogo-pin reverse charging.
The reverse-charging options could be useful for powering compatible accessories or other devices when needed.
On the software side, the Xiaomi Pad 9 Pro Max runs Android 17 with Xiaomi's HyperOS 4 interface.
The tablet also features eight speakers and six microphones, giving it a hardware setup designed for multimedia use, video calls and other audio-heavy tasks.
Despite the large display, Xiaomi has kept the chassis relatively thin. The Pad 9 Pro Max measures 296.2 × 203.08 × 5.67mm and weighs 645 grams.
A Matte Glass version is also available, although it is slightly heavier at 653 grams.
The Xiaomi Pad 9 Pro Max starts at CNY 4,799 for the 8GB RAM and 256GB storage configuration, which is approximately $715 based on the pricing cited at launch.
Here is the announced pricing:
| Configuration | Price |
|---|---|
| 8GB + 256GB | CNY 4,799 |
| 12GB + 256GB | CNY 5,299 |
| 16GB + 256GB | CNY 5,799 |
| 12GB + 512GB | CNY 6,099 |
| 16GB + 512GB | CNY 6,599 |
| 16GB + 512GB Matte Glass | CNY 6,899 |
| 16GB + 1TB Matte Glass | CNY 7,899 |
The standard configurations therefore offer a relatively wide range of memory and storage choices, while the Matte Glass models sit at the top of the lineup.
For now, Xiaomi's international launch plans remain unclear based on the available announcement details.
That means buyers outside the initial market should not assume that the Chinese pricing will translate directly into local pricing or that every configuration will be sold internationally.
Xiaomi has made the Pad 9 Pro Max one of its most ambitious tablets yet, combining a 13.3-inch 144Hz display, Xring O3 processor, up to 16GB of RAM, 1TB of storage, a 12,000mAh battery and 120W charging.
Whether the tablet becomes available more widely will be one of the key details to watch next.
