Summary

itel Zeno 5G is launched at ₹9,299 in India with 5G support and AI features.

Powered by MediaTek Dimensity 6300 with 8GB RAM and Android 14.

Available in three colours via Amazon with introductory offers.

itel, a popular budget smartphone brand in India, has launched its newest 5G-enabled device - the itel Zeno 5G - on June 11, 2025.

Priced at ₹9,299, the smartphone is aimed at cost-conscious users who want modern features like 5G, AI tools, and a 120Hz display without stretching their wallets.

The Zeno 5G is now available exclusively on Amazon India, with additional launch offers and free screen replacement for 100 days.

According to itel India’s official press release and statements from company executives, the device focuses on everyday usability

while introducing cutting-edge connectivity and software assistance features at a mass-market price.

Display and Build: Durable Yet Sleek

According to hindustan times recent reports The itel Zeno 5G comes with a 6.67-inch HD+ punch-hole display, offering a 120Hz refresh rate and 240Hz touch sampling rate, ensuring smoother scrolling and responsiveness.

The device maintains a slim 7.8mm profile, which makes it comfortable to hold.

To enhance durability, itel has used Panda MN228 protective glass, and the phone has been rated IP54 for dust and splash resistance - something rarely seen at this price point.

Performance: MediaTek Dimensity 6300 Chipset

Under the hood, the Zeno 5G is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 6300 processor,

which supports dual 5G SIMs and ensures reliable performance for multitasking, streaming, and light gaming.

The device includes 8GB RAM (4GB physical + 4GB virtual) and 128GB internal storage, making it suitable for both productivity and entertainment.

The smartphone runs Android 14 out-of-the-box, ensuring access to the latest features and enhanced security.

Camera Capabilities: Simple and Functional

On the rear, the itel Zeno 5G features a single 50MP main camera, designed to capture everyday photos with clarity. For selfies and video calls, it includes an 8MP front camera.

The camera app also supports various AI-enhanced modes, including beautification, HDR, and panorama.

AI Features: Aivana Assistant

A notable addition is Aivana, itel's AI-based assistant.

This tool can help users with voice typing, language translation, and text corrections, making it useful for students, professionals, and multilingual users.

According to the company, Aivana is designed to assist users in communicating more efficiently, especially in India's diverse linguistic environment.

Battery and Connectivity

The device packs a 5,000mAh battery, ensuring all-day use for most users.

However, it only supports 10W charging, which is a trade-off at this price level. Connectivity options include:

Dual 5G SIM support

Wi-Fi and Bluetooth

USB Type-C port

GPS

IR blaster

Colour Options and Availability

The itel Zeno 5G is available in three colour variants:

Calx Titanium

Shadow Black

Wave Green

As of June 10, it is listed exclusively on Amazon India, and buyers can apply a ₹1,000 coupon discount, effectively bringing the price down to ₹8,299.

Buyers will also benefit from a free screen replacement offer within 100 days of purchase, which adds extra value.

itel’s Vision for Budget 5G

Speaking at the launch, Arijeet Talapatra, CEO of itel India, said:

"The Zeno 5G is a significant step in our mission to democratize 5G in India.

By offering advanced features like AI tools, strong durability, and seamless connectivity, we are ensuring that our customers don’t have to compromise."

The launch aligns with India’s growing demand for affordable 5G smartphones, especially in Tier 2 and Tier 3 cities where users are increasingly seeking powerful devices without flagship pricing.

Market Outlook and Comparison

With this launch, itel positions itself strongly in the sub-₹10,000 smartphone segment, where very few devices offer 5G capability.

Compared to similarly priced phones, the Zeno 5G stands out with:

120Hz refresh rate (vs 60Hz on most rivals)

Panda glass and IP54 protection

Integrated AI assistant

Dual 5G and Android 14

Final Thoughts

While it doesn’t offer fast charging or multiple rear cameras, the itel Zeno 5G makes up for it with essential modern features and value additions.

For budget users looking to enter the 5G era without compromises, this phone could be a solid choice.

A Thoughtful Take:

The itel Zeno 5G is more than just a budget 5G phone - it reflects how smartphone makers are adapting to India's demand for affordability without sacrificing future-ready features.

While itel has stayed true to its low-cost DNA, the addition of features like AI assistance and IP-rated protection makes the Zeno 5G surprisingly well-rounded for its price point.

Huawei Watch GT 6 India Launch Leak: Two Sizes, Stylish Colors, Long Battery

Huawei Watch GT 6 India Launch Leak: Two Sizes, Stylish Colors, Long Battery New Delhi – July 23, 2025 By Michael B. Norris, Senior Tech Correspondent   When I ran my first half-marathon wearing the Huawei Watch GT 5, I didn’t expect it to outperform my chest strap monitor. It was early morning, cool winds cutting through Lodhi Gardens, and I’d just passed the 8km mark.  That’s when I glanced down at the GT 5 - expecting some lag or off-reading.  But no - it was spot-on, closely mirroring my Polar heart rate strap. Even after two hours, the battery barely budged. That experience marked a turning point in how I viewed Huawei's smartwatches.  The Watch GT series has always leaned into endurance over extravagance.  With the Watch GT 6 expected this fall, Huawei seems to be refining this formula - this time offering two case sizes and an array of bold new colors aimed at casual users and fitness-minded customers alike. But behind the color names and numbers lies som...

Nokia 5G Mobile New Launch: HMD Pulse 2, Crest 2, Bold Series Specs Leaked Ahead of India Debut

Nokia 5G Mobile New Launch: HMD Pulse 2, Crest 2, Bold Series Specs Leaked Ahead of India Debut Mumbai | July 22, 2025 I still remember standing in a cramped electronics shop in Karol Bagh, Delhi, back in 2017, clutching my last ₹10,000 and scanning the budget smartphone shelves with quiet desperation.  My previous phone - a once-reliable Nokia - had finally quit on me. I wanted something simple, durable, and capable of running the basics without overheating or dying halfway through the day.  What I got instead was a sluggish, ad-riddled Chinese model that began freezing within weeks. Ever since then, I’ve paid close attention to the budget smartphone space - not as a tech reviewer, but as someone who knows what it’s like when every rupee counts. That’s why the latest leaks around HMD Global - the company that once brought Nokia phones back into relevance - caught my attention. This isn’t just another spec dump. It’s potentially a quiet revolution in the sub-₹15,000 market. A...

HUAWEI MatePad Pro 12.2 Launched in India: 2000-Nit OLED, Glide Keyboard, Stylus Support

HUAWEI MatePad Pro 12.2 Launched in India: 2000-Nit OLED, Glide Keyboard, Stylus Support By Michael B Norris - July 25, 2025   I Left My Laptop Behind - And Didn’t Regret It Last month, I was en route to a regional tech forum in Kuala Lumpur. My usual travel companion? A compact but heavy ultrabook that’s been my workhorse for years. But this time, by accident more than intention, I left it charging at the office.  What I had in my bag instead was the newly released HUAWEI MatePad Pro 12.2 inch, still wrapped in review plastic and paired with its Glide Keyboard and M-Pencil. With deadlines looming and hours of panel coverage ahead, the panic should’ve hit me - but surprisingly, it didn’t. Over the next three days, I typed reports, edited video snippets, drew rough infographic sketches, and livestreamed commentary - all from this 508g tablet. It wasn’t just functional; it was liberating. That field experience is what makes the “Can tablets replace laptops?” debate more real th...
