Samsung’s upcoming budget 5G smartphone, the Galaxy M36 5G, is now confirmed to launch in India on June 27.

The date appeared on Amazon’s microsite earlier this week, even though Samsung itself hasn’t formally announced the release.

The new M36 5G is expected to build on last year’s Galaxy M35 5G but with upgrades in battery, display, and software.

What’s new this week? Online listings and fresh leaks now point to a sizeable 5000mAh battery with 45W fast charging, and a 6.7-inch 120Hz display - both notable improvements over the M35.

As per indiatv recent reports The device has been spotted on Geekbench with an Exynos 1380 processor and 6GB of RAM, running Android 15 with Samsung’s One UI skin.

A promotional image posted by Amazon shows a familiar triple camera setup, reportedly headlined by a 50MP main sensor. The front will feature a 12MP selfie camera.

New details also suggest AI enhancements powered by Google Gemini, though specifics remain unclear.

This week’s leaks also confirm that the Galaxy M36 5G will likely share several components with the Galaxy A36 5G, launched globally earlier this year.

Price is expected to land near ₹20,000, positioning the M36 5G against rivals such as the Redmi Note 13 5G and Moto G84.

One thing to note: no official word yet on whether Samsung will tweak the camera system — a key user complaint from last year’s M35.




In other Samsung news this week, disappointing early sales figures have been reported for the Galaxy S25 Edge - a separate flagship device - with battery performance emerging as a major concern among users.




The Galaxy M36 5G, however, will target a different segment entirely, where battery life and value-for-money are key priorities.

Full specifications and pricing are likely to be confirmed closer to launch

If this phone is stand out on long battery usage, it could impress users who were frustrated constant battery draining issue with realme 12x 5G

It seems this budget version phone could compete directly with Redmi Note 13 5G and Moto G84 5G
