Xiaomi 16 Leak Reveals 6.36-Inch Display, 7,000mAh Battery

Xiaomi 16 Leak Reveals 6.36-Inch Display, 7,000mAh Battery

Summary Box

Xiaomi 16 may come with a 6.36-inch AMOLED screen and Snapdragon 8 Elite 2 processor.

A major highlight is the reported 7,000mAh battery — one of the largest in flagship phones.

Rumoured camera setup includes three 50MP sensors with telephoto and macro support.

Even though the official launch of the Xiaomi 16 series is still months away, fresh leaks are already offering early insight into the upcoming device.

As of June 5, 2025, a reliable leak by tipster Digital Chat Station has revealed details about the phone’s display size, chipset, battery, and camera system.

If accurate, the Xiaomi 16 will be a direct successor to the Xiaomi 15, which launched earlier this year in India.

Based on available reports, the Xiaomi 16 will continue the company’s strategy of packing premium features into a relatively compact body.

Compact Design, Bigger Battery

The twitter leak suggests that the Xiaomi 16 will feature a 6.36-inch AMOLED display - potentially the same panel used in the Xiaomi 15.

While the display size keeps the phone within the "compact flagship" category, it's the battery capacity that really stands out this time.

According to the indiatoday leak, the Xiaomi 16 could house a massive 7,000mAh battery, a notable leap from its predecessor.

If confirmed, this would make the Xiaomi 16 one of the longest-lasting premium phones in its class.

Most competing flagships today ship with batteries around the 5,000 to 6,000mAh range. The OnePlus 13s, for example, includes a 6,000mAh battery.

The source of the leak, Digital Chat Station on Weibo via twitter, claims that the Xiaomi 16 will benefit from advancements in silicon-carbon battery technology.

This allows for higher energy density without making the phone too bulky.

Snapdragon 8 Elite 2 Rumoured

Under the hood, the Xiaomi 16 is expected to be powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite 2.

This chip has not yet been officially announced, but is widely expected to debut at Qualcomm’s Snapdragon Summit in September 2025.

The Snapdragon 8 Elite 2 will likely be an upgrade over the Snapdragon 8 Elite, which currently powers the Xiaomi 15 and several other flagship Android phones.

There is a small chance that Xiaomi could test its in-house Xring 01 processor, previously seen in the Xiaomi 15s Pro and Xiaomi Pad 7 Ultra, but this is considered unlikely for the core Xiaomi 16 model.
Triple 50MP Camera Setup

On the photography front, the Xiaomi 16 is expected to maintain a triple 50-megapixel sensor layout. According to the leak, this will include:

A primary wide lens

An ultra-wide lens

A telephoto lens with macro support

While this setup appears similar to that of the Xiaomi 15, industry watchers believe Xiaomi will improve software optimization and image processing this time around.

Possible Launch Timeline and India Availability

If Xiaomi sticks to its usual product schedule, the Xiaomi 16, 16 Pro, and 16 Ultra could be officially unveiled in China by October 2025.

The India launch may follow a few months later, likely in March 2026.

Pricing and exact specifications are still under wraps. However, given the features discussed, industry experts expect the Xiaomi 16 to fall into the ₹55,000–₹60,000 price range at launch in India.

Xiaomi’s Competitive Edge

According to tech analysts, Xiaomi is increasingly focusing on battery innovation and user experience.

With the rumoured 7,000mAh battery and advanced chipset, the Xiaomi 16 could appeal to users who need all-day power without compromising on performance.

In a market crowded with near-identical devices, such enhancements could give Xiaomi a meaningful edge - especially among power users and gamers.

Author’s Opinion: Michael B. Norris, TrendingAlone Tech News

The Xiaomi 16’s rumoured 7,000mAh battery could set a new benchmark for premium smartphones. Most manufacturers have focused on thinner designs and faster charging - but real innovation may come from longer battery life.

Xiaomi seems to be listening to actual user needs, and not just specs on paper.

The idea of pairing a compact display with an ultra-large battery and flagship chipset could strike a great balance between portability and endurance.

However, the success of the Xiaomi 16 will largely depend on software optimization and pricing.

Battery size is important, but without efficient performance tuning, even 7,000mAh may not deliver on user expectations.

If Xiaomi gets this right, it may just deliver the most balanced Android flagship of the year.

Huawei Watch GT 6 India Launch Leak: Two Sizes, Stylish Colors, Long Battery

Huawei Watch GT 6 India Launch Leak: Two Sizes, Stylish Colors, Long Battery New Delhi – July 23, 2025 By Michael B. Norris, Senior Tech Correspondent   When I ran my first half-marathon wearing the Huawei Watch GT 5, I didn’t expect it to outperform my chest strap monitor. It was early morning, cool winds cutting through Lodhi Gardens, and I’d just passed the 8km mark.  That’s when I glanced down at the GT 5 - expecting some lag or off-reading.  But no - it was spot-on, closely mirroring my Polar heart rate strap. Even after two hours, the battery barely budged. That experience marked a turning point in how I viewed Huawei's smartwatches.  The Watch GT series has always leaned into endurance over extravagance.  With the Watch GT 6 expected this fall, Huawei seems to be refining this formula - this time offering two case sizes and an array of bold new colors aimed at casual users and fitness-minded customers alike. But behind the color names and numbers lies som...

Nokia 5G Mobile New Launch: HMD Pulse 2, Crest 2, Bold Series Specs Leaked Ahead of India Debut

Nokia 5G Mobile New Launch: HMD Pulse 2, Crest 2, Bold Series Specs Leaked Ahead of India Debut Mumbai | July 22, 2025 I still remember standing in a cramped electronics shop in Karol Bagh, Delhi, back in 2017, clutching my last ₹10,000 and scanning the budget smartphone shelves with quiet desperation.  My previous phone - a once-reliable Nokia - had finally quit on me. I wanted something simple, durable, and capable of running the basics without overheating or dying halfway through the day.  What I got instead was a sluggish, ad-riddled Chinese model that began freezing within weeks. Ever since then, I’ve paid close attention to the budget smartphone space - not as a tech reviewer, but as someone who knows what it’s like when every rupee counts. That’s why the latest leaks around HMD Global - the company that once brought Nokia phones back into relevance - caught my attention. This isn’t just another spec dump. It’s potentially a quiet revolution in the sub-₹15,000 market. A...

HUAWEI MatePad Pro 12.2 Launched in India: 2000-Nit OLED, Glide Keyboard, Stylus Support

HUAWEI MatePad Pro 12.2 Launched in India: 2000-Nit OLED, Glide Keyboard, Stylus Support By Michael B Norris - July 25, 2025   I Left My Laptop Behind - And Didn’t Regret It Last month, I was en route to a regional tech forum in Kuala Lumpur. My usual travel companion? A compact but heavy ultrabook that’s been my workhorse for years. But this time, by accident more than intention, I left it charging at the office.  What I had in my bag instead was the newly released HUAWEI MatePad Pro 12.2 inch, still wrapped in review plastic and paired with its Glide Keyboard and M-Pencil. With deadlines looming and hours of panel coverage ahead, the panic should’ve hit me - but surprisingly, it didn’t. Over the next three days, I typed reports, edited video snippets, drew rough infographic sketches, and livestreamed commentary - all from this 508g tablet. It wasn’t just functional; it was liberating. That field experience is what makes the “Can tablets replace laptops?” debate more real th...
