Honor Magic V5 Tipped with 6100mAh Battery Launch in June

Honor Magic V5 Tipped with 6100mAh Battery Launch in June

Honor Magic V5 Tipped with 6100mAh Battery Launch in June

Summary Box

Honor Magic V5 may launch by the end of June 2025 with a 6100mAh battery.

It could become the world’s first foldable phone with such a large battery.

Expected features include Snapdragon 8 Elite chip, 8-inch display, and 200MP camera.

Honor may soon redefine battery life in foldable smartphones. According to Official Huawei Central reports shared on Weibo, the upcoming Honor Magic V5 is expected to launch by the end of June 2025.

The most striking detail? A jumbo 6100mAh battery, which would make it the largest battery ever used in a foldable phone.

The latest leak was shared around June 3, 2025, and comes from well-known Chinese tipsters like DirectorShiGuan and BaldPanda.

According to them, this new model is likely to surpass the battery capacity of the rumored Vivo X Fold 5, which is expected to come with a 6000mAh battery.

Breakthrough in Battery Capacity

If these details are accurate, the Honor Magic V5 will be the first foldable device to cross the 6000mAh threshold.

As per BaldPanda’s response to fan questions, the Magic V5 will use a 100mAh larger cell than its competitor, the Vivo X Fold 5.

This represents a 20% increase in battery size over its predecessor, the Honor Magic V3, which featured around a 5000mAh cell.

It’s a significant leap considering the need to balance size and weight in foldable phones.

Ultra-Thin and Lightweight Design

Despite its huge battery, the Magic V5 is expected to maintain a slim profile.

Tipster DirectorShiGuan noted that Honor is making big improvements in design and thickness.

The phone is rumored to measure just 9mm thick when folded.

That’s slightly slimmer than the Magic V3’s 9.2mm and likely thinner than the OPPO Find N3.

Honor has repeatedly emphasized its goal to be “the thinnest foldable phone brand in the world.” This upcoming model may help it retain that title.

Expected Specs and Features

Though the company has not officially confirmed details, insiders suggest that the Honor Magic V5 could come with:

Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset

8-inch folding OLED display

Support for satellite communication

200MP periscope zoom camera

These features aim to deliver top-tier performance in photography, display quality, and connectivity.
Market Positioning and Strategy

Honor is positioning the Magic V5 as a flagship foldable aimed at premium users who want both style and power.

The high-capacity battery will likely appeal to professionals and heavy users who demand long-lasting performance.

At the same time, its lightweight build and thin body could attract users put off by the bulky nature of most foldables today.

No Official Launch Date Yet

While leaks suggest a June 2025 launch, Honor has not officially confirmed the release date.

The company has been tight-lipped about specifics.

However, repeated mentions by trusted Weibo sources increase the likelihood of a formal reveal later this month.

Interested consumers and tech enthusiasts are advised to watch Honor’s official Weibo channel and website for updates.

Michael B Norris Author’s Opinion: Why Honor’s Strategy Might Work

The foldable phone market is becoming increasingly competitive. Samsung, Vivo, and OPPO are all chasing thinness and better battery life.

However, few brands have cracked both challenges in the same device. If Honor delivers what the leaks suggest - a 6100mAh battery in a 9mm-thick device - it could set a new standard.

The combination of battery life and design might finally push foldables into the mainstream, especially in Asia where Honor has strong brand recognition.

Still, much depends on how well the Magic V5 manages heat, charging time, and display durability.

Honor’s success will also rely on software optimization.

Even a powerful chip and battery need a refined UI to give users the seamless foldable experience they now expect.

If the company can balance all these factors, the Honor Magic V5 could become a turning point not just for the brand, but for foldable phones in general.

Realme GT 7 vs OnePlus 13R in India: Which Mid-Range Phone is Best for Gamers or Power Users I remember standing outside Connaught Place under the harsh Delhi sun, juggling two phones in my hands - Realme GT 7 in my left, OnePlus 13R in my right. OnePlus Pad 3 Launch Confirmed: Snapdragon 8s Gen 3, 3K Display, Big Battery Revealed

OnePlus Pad 3 Launch Confirmed: Snapdragon 8s Gen 3, 3K Display, Big Battery Revealed It was during a chaotic airport layover in early July when I first noticed how unwieldy most tablets still feel. A fellow traveler beside me was juggling video calls, PDFs, and spreadsheets on a device that looked cutting-edge but felt clunky. That’s when I remembered OnePlus was preparing to release its newest tablet - the OnePlus Pad 3. I made a mental note: if there was ever a moment a thinner, smarter, AI-enhanced tablet could matter, it was in that busy terminal. Fast forward a few weeks, and OnePlus has confirmed that the Pad 3 will officially go on sale in India this September.  While the announcement might sound like just another product launch in an already crowded market, the Pad 3 stands out - and not just for its specs.  With a blend of power, slim design, and meaningful software improvements, it signals how Android tablets are beginning to seriously challenge the iPad’s long-held...
