Motorola new phone 2025 news: Moto G86 may launch in India soon: Specs, price, and everything else

SUMMARY

Moto G86 5G appeared on BIS, hinting at imminent India launch.

Expected features include 6.67" 120Hz pOLED, Dimensity 7300, and Android 15.

Launch likely in July 2025, price may start around ₹20,000.

Motorola could soon introduce the Moto G86 5G in India.

On June 11, 2025, the upcoming device was spotted on the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) certification website under the model number XT2527-5, strongly indicating that the Indian launch may be around the corner.

The Moto G86 5G is expected to be a mid-range smartphone and a direct successor to the Moto G85, which debuted last year.

Though Motorola has not officially confirmed the device or its launch date, several leaks and listings have revealed key specifications and features.

Expected Launch Timeline in India

According to the BIS listing, the Moto G86 5G is likely to launch in July 2025.

BIS certification is usually one of the final steps before a product release, particularly in India.

This aligns with earlier reports by tech analysts suggesting a Q3 rollout.

Motorola has not issued a press release yet, but the consistent appearance of the device on certification platforms signals that the official announcement may come soon.

Moto G86 5G: Expected Specifications

Leaked information suggests the Moto G86 5G will feature a 6.67-inch curved pOLED display with a 1.5K resolution and 120Hz refresh rate.

The display may offer up to 4,500 nits peak brightness, making it suitable for outdoor use.

To protect the screen, the phone might include Corning Gorilla Glass 7i, a durable panel for resisting scratches and minor drops.

Under the hood, the device could be powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 7300 SoC.

This processor is designed to deliver performance efficiency for mid-range smartphones.

The G86 may offer up to 12GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage, appealing to power users and gamers alike.

The Moto G86 5G is expected to run Android 15 out-of-the-box, offering users the latest software updates, better multitasking features, and tighter security integration.

Camera Capabilities

On the back, the Moto G86 might sport a dual-camera setup featuring a 50MP Sony IMX766 primary sensor with optical image stabilization (OIS) for clearer and more stable images.

Accompanying this could be an 8MP ultra-wide-angle camera, ideal for capturing landscapes or group photos.

For selfies and video calls, the front camera is expected to be a 32MP sensor, which may also support Full HD video recording.

Battery and Charging

Another strong point of the Moto G86 5G appears to be its battery life.

The device may come with a 5,100mAh battery, slightly larger than average for phones in this segment.

Charging support is likely capped at 33W wired charging, which should refill the battery within an hour or so, depending on usage and battery condition.

Expected Price in India

Based on market trends and leaked information, the Moto G86 5G is expected to be priced at around ₹20,000 for the base model.

If Motorola sticks to its usual pricing strategy, it may offer excellent value for the features being promised.

This price segment is highly competitive, with options from Realme, Redmi, and Samsung.

Still, Motorola's focus on software experience and clean UI might appeal to a certain section of buyers.

Certification and Global Availability

The Moto G86 has reportedly appeared not only on India’s BIS but also on the EEC (Eurasian Economic Commission) website.

This indicates that Motorola may release the device in other regions including Europe and Latin America after its India debut.

Expert Insight

According to tipsters and digit IN industry experts, Motorola is betting big on the G series for 2025.

The inclusion of newer hardware and Android 15 signals a push towards offering long-term value and enhanced user experience.

Tech analyst Paras Guglani, who first spotted the listing, noted that “Motorola is aligning its G series phones to meet both performance and affordability expectations in growing markets like India and Brazil.”

Author’s Opinion: Will It Stand Out?

The Moto G86 5G sounds like a strong contender in the mid-range segment. Its use of Dimensity 7300, a high-refresh-rate pOLED display, and a clean Android 15 interface could attract users tired of heavy custom skins.

But whether it can compete with feature-rich rivals like the Redmi Note or Realme Narzo series will depend on pricing and software support post-launch.

OnePlus Pad 3 Launch Confirmed: Snapdragon 8s Gen 3, 3K Display, Big Battery Revealed

OnePlus Pad 3 Launch Confirmed: Snapdragon 8s Gen 3, 3K Display, Big Battery Revealed It was during a chaotic airport layover in early July when I first noticed how unwieldy most tablets still feel. A fellow traveler beside me was juggling video calls, PDFs, and spreadsheets on a device that looked cutting-edge but felt clunky. That’s when I remembered OnePlus was preparing to release its newest tablet - the OnePlus Pad 3. I made a mental note: if there was ever a moment a thinner, smarter, AI-enhanced tablet could matter, it was in that busy terminal. Fast forward a few weeks, and OnePlus has confirmed that the Pad 3 will officially go on sale in India this September.  While the announcement might sound like just another product launch in an already crowded market, the Pad 3 stands out - and not just for its specs.  With a blend of power, slim design, and meaningful software improvements, it signals how Android tablets are beginning to seriously challenge the iPad’s long-held...
