OnePlus Pad 3 Launches June 5 with Snapdragon 8 Elite

OnePlus Pad 3 Launches June 5 with Snapdragon 8 Elite

Summary Box:

OnePlus Pad 3 tablet will launch on June 5 in North America, UK, and Europe.

Powered by Snapdragon 8 Elite processor and expected to feature multitasking tools.

India launch remains uncertain, with accessories likely sold separately.

OnePlus has officially confirmed the launch of its latest Android tablet, the OnePlus Pad 3, on Wednesday, June 5, 2025.

The tablet will initially be available in North America, the United Kingdom, and parts of Europe, as per OnePlus’s press release and marketing visuals.

However, the company has not yet announced a launch date for the Indian market.

This announcement was made via OnePlus’s official channels, including the company newsroom and social media accounts, earlier this week.

According to OnePlus, the Pad 3 will be powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite processor, a flagship-tier chipset designed for high-performance devices.

Launch Details and Regional Availability

While global markets including North America and Europe are set to receive the device on June 5, the India launch is still pending confirmation.

The timing, however, suggests it could follow soon after.

Last year’s OnePlus Pad 2 was launched around the same time during the OnePlus Summer Launch Event, making a near-future India launch plausible.

In addition to the Pad 3, OnePlus is also preparing to launch the OnePlus 13s, an India-exclusive compact flagship phone, on the same date. It is expected to be powered by the same Snapdragon 8 Elite SoC.

Expected Specifications and Features

According to Mint Though full specifications are yet to be officially confirmed by the company, several credible leaks and teasers suggest what users can expect.

Notably, the OnePlus Pad 3 may be a rebranded version of the OnePlus Pad 2 Pro, recently launched in China.

Key expected features include:

Processor: Snapdragon 8 Elite

Display: 13.2-inch 3.4K display with 144 Hz refresh rate and up to 900 nits brightness

Memory and Storage: Up to 16 GB LPDDR5X RAM and 512 GB UFS 4.0 storage

Battery: 12,140 mAh with 67W SuperVOOC fast charging

Camera: 13 MP rear camera with LED flash, 8 MP front-facing camera

Software: Expected to run on OxygenOS 15 based on Android 15

Multi-Tasking and Productivity Tools

One of the highlighted features of the OnePlus Pad 3 is its support for Open Canvas, a multitasking interface that allows users to open and operate up to three apps simultaneously.

This feature first appeared on the OnePlus Open foldable phone and later made its way to the OnePlus Pad 2.

According to OnePlus’s promotional images, the tablet will support productivity accessories such as a keyboard and stylus.

However, these will likely be sold separately, similar to the approach taken with previous models.

Accessories and Build

The device will likely maintain the premium aluminum build seen in earlier models, with a design tailored for both entertainment and productivity.

The display’s high refresh rate and brightness also make it suitable for media consumption, gaming, and creative tasks.

If past pricing strategies are any indication, the OnePlus Pad 3 could be competitively priced in the upper mid-range tablet segment, targeting professionals, students, and tech enthusiasts alike.

Market Context and Analyst View

With the global tablet market gradually recovering post-pandemic, brands are now focusing on high-performance tablets that also support productivity and creativity.

According to IDC and other market researchers, the demand for Android tablets with desktop-class performance is rising in both emerging and developed markets.

The inclusion of the Snapdragon 8 Elite processor signals OnePlus’s ambition to compete directly with premium tablets from Samsung, Apple, and Xiaomi.

What This Means for Indian Buyers

Indian users may need to wait for an official confirmation, but given OnePlus’s strong brand presence in the country and the concurrent launch of the OnePlus 13s, the Pad 3’s India launch could follow soon.

Until then, potential buyers may need to rely on global units or parallel imports.

The OnePlus Pad 3 stands out as a strategic move by OnePlus to reassert its place in the competitive Android tablet market.

By pairing flagship internals with multitasking features like Open Canvas, the brand is clearly targeting power users and productivity-focused consumers.

However, the decision to sell the keyboard and stylus separately could limit appeal among students and budget-conscious users.

Moreover, the delayed India launch might dampen momentum in one of OnePlus’s key markets. Still, if priced right, the Pad 3 has the potential to become one of the best Android tablets of 2025.

OnePlus Pad 3 Launch Confirmed: Snapdragon 8s Gen 3, 3K Display, Big Battery Revealed

OnePlus Pad 3 Launch Confirmed: Snapdragon 8s Gen 3, 3K Display, Big Battery Revealed It was during a chaotic airport layover in early July when I first noticed how unwieldy most tablets still feel. A fellow traveler beside me was juggling video calls, PDFs, and spreadsheets on a device that looked cutting-edge but felt clunky. That’s when I remembered OnePlus was preparing to release its newest tablet - the OnePlus Pad 3. Fast forward a few weeks, and OnePlus has confirmed that the Pad 3 will officially go on sale in India this September.  While the announcement might sound like just another product launch in an already crowded market, the Pad 3 stands out - and not just for its specs.  With a blend of power, slim design, and meaningful software improvements, it signals how Android tablets are beginning to seriously challenge the iPad’s long-held...
