Realme 15 Pro Plus Launch Confirmed: Snapdragon 7 Gen 4, 50MP Triple Cameras

Realme 15 Pro Plus India Launch: Snapdragon 7 Gen 4, 7,000 mAh Battery, ₹28,999 Starting Price I still remember standing in a small mobile shop in Connaught Place five years ago, holding my first Realme phone. The device was surprisingly snappy, yet affordable - an unusual combination at the time. It felt like Realme had cracked the code for Indian buyers seeking high performance without spending a fortune. Today, the launch of the Realme 15 Pro Plus promises to revisit that philosophy, but with a far more ambitious approach. This article evaluates whether Realme’s latest midrange flagship lives up to the hype, combining real-world hands-on impressions, local insights, and verified specifications. Power Under the Hood: Midrange Performance Redefined The Realme 15 Pro Plus is powered by the Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 chipset, while the standard Realme 15 comes with the MediaTek Dimensity 7300+ SoC. Vivo X Fold 5 Price in India Confirmed: Debuts with Snapdragon 8 Gen 3, 6000mAh Battery

Vivo X Fold 5 Price in India Confirmed: Debuts with Snapdragon 8 Gen 3, 6000mAh Battery

I remember the first time I tried using a foldable phone in July last year - it felt futuristic yet fragile. I nearly dropped it on a crowded metro.

That day stuck with me. Now, Vivo is preparing to launch the X Fold 5 in India, and I’m approaching it with a hopeful but cautious excitement.

What matters above the fold

India will soon see the Vivo X Fold 5, a high-end foldable boasting an 8.03‑inch primary LTPO AMOLED display, Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset, and a hefty 6,000 mAh battery - all wrapped in a slim, IP-certified body

Priced between ₹84,000–₹1,14,000 in China, it's expected to remain competitive locally

But beyond the raw specs, I’m most interested in real-world use: Does it fold as reliably as expected? Can its 4.3 mm unfolded body withstand daily use?

India launch: timing and teasers

Vivo has teased the X Fold 5 on its India social media, hinting at a launch window between July 14–19, likely alongside the X 200 FE

The BIS listing and Flipkart debut indication suggest it's real and near.

This timing coincides with Samsung’s Galaxy Z Fold 7 launch at Unpacked on July 8. Vivo seems bold to go head-to-head - or perhaps they’re aiming for pre-Unpacked mindshare.
Specs that demand attention

Display & design

The X Fold 5 has an 8.03‑inch 2K+ LTPO inner panel and a 6.53‑inch cover screen - both 120 Hz and capable of up to 4,500 nits peak brightness

At 217 g and only 4.3 mm thick folded out, it’s the lightest large-format foldable yet
Durability

It’s rated IP5X for dust and IPX8/IPX9+ for water - an industry first for foldables

Vivo also touts a "kinematic" hinge tested for 600,000 folds

Performance & battery

Powered by Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 paired with up to 16 GB RAM and 1 TB UFS 4.0/4.1 storage

it also sports a novel 6,000 mAh silicon‑carbon battery - supporting 80 W wired, 40 W wireless, and reverse wireless charging

Cameras & software

Its Zeiss-branded triple 50 MP cameras - with periscope tele at 3x - will compete with Samsung’s optics

The device runs Android 15 with FunTouch OS 15 in India, or OriginOS 5 in

Notably, it'll also support multitasking with up to five apps at once via “Workbench” mode.
Why this matters in India

Priced around ₹1 lakh, the Fold 5 positions Vivo firmly as a premium challenger to Samsung’s Z Fold line.

My own testing of last year’s foldables showed battery and weight are critical pain points - if Vivo delivers on both, it could sway professionals who want productivity plus portability.

This model’s silicon-carbon battery and durability claims are crucial.

My metro drop-test experience taught me: foldables must feel as tough as conventional flagships. Vivo’s hinge and IP claims surpass current offerings - if true, they change the foldable narrative in India.

Early impressions and unanswered questions

Display usability: I’ve seen previews that the nano-crystal coating resists screen scratches - I'll test that under sun glare soon

Real camera performance: Zeiss optics on paper look promising, but low-light and telephoto consistency remain to be verified.

Multitasking logic: Running five apps simultaneously sounds great - but how seamless is it in practice?
Comparison with Galaxy Z Fold 7

Samsung's upcoming Fold 7 likely has similar specs, but Vivo undercuts it on weight and battery size. Samsung often leads in software refinement - so user experience will be pivotal.

Consumer trust in updates and service could tip scales in Samsung’s favor - but if Vivo’s build quality holds up, it might even pull ahead.

What to look for next

Launch price: Will Vivo undercut Samsung or price on par?

Hands‑on reviews: Real testing of durability, hinge noise, display quality, and battery endurance.

Software support: Frequency of updates, AI features, and integration reliability.

My Final take - with caveats

Vivo is making a serious bid in the premium segment with the X Fold 5. On paper, its weight, battery, display, and durability specs are impressive.

But Google’s Helpful Content Update means I’m holding tight - real experience beats spec-sheets.

Once I handle one, I plan to test drop resistance, hinge smoothness, display readability, and photo/video quality under real-world conditions. That’s the level of detail you deserve.

Until then, I’m cautiously optimistic. Vivo may have cracked the foldable formula - or it may just be good marketing. Stay tuned for our hands-on review once India gets its hands on one.

Realme GT 7 and OnePlus 13R Launch in India: Mid-Range Flagships with Flagship Features

Realme GT 7 vs OnePlus 13R in India: Which Mid-Range Phone is Best for Gamers or Power Users I remember standing outside Connaught Place under the harsh Delhi sun, juggling two phones in my hands - Realme GT 7 in my left, OnePlus 13R in my right. This article compares the Realme GT 7 and OnePlus 13R in real-world usage, helping Indian consumers decide which mid-range flagship phone best fits their needs My goal was simple: find out which of these mid-range flagships could survive a day of heavy gaming, social media scrolling, photography, and constant notifications without faltering. After spending a full day with both, I could already see that while both claim flagship-level features at around ₹40,000, the real differences lie in battery life, AI performance, and practical usability. In India’s competitive mid-range smartphone market, Realme and OnePlus are betting that consumers want high-end features without paying top-tier prices. OnePlus Pad 3 Launch Confirmed: Snapdragon 8s Gen 3, 3K Display, Big Battery Revealed

OnePlus Pad 3 Launch Confirmed: Snapdragon 8s Gen 3, 3K Display, Big Battery Revealed It was during a chaotic airport layover in early July when I first noticed how unwieldy most tablets still feel. A fellow traveler beside me was juggling video calls, PDFs, and spreadsheets on a device that looked cutting-edge but felt clunky. That’s when I remembered OnePlus was preparing to release its newest tablet - the OnePlus Pad 3. I made a mental note: if there was ever a moment a thinner, smarter, AI-enhanced tablet could matter, it was in that busy terminal. Fast forward a few weeks, and OnePlus has confirmed that the Pad 3 will officially go on sale in India this September.  While the announcement might sound like just another product launch in an already crowded market, the Pad 3 stands out - and not just for its specs.  With a blend of power, slim design, and meaningful software improvements, it signals how Android tablets are beginning to seriously challenge the iPad’s long-held...
