Motorola Edge 60 5G Sale Starts in India Today

Motorola Edge 60 5G Sale Starts in India Today

Summary:

• Motorola Edge 60 5G now available in India via Flipkart and other platforms

• Introductory price starts at Rs 24,999 with bank discount

• Features include 12GB RAM, 1.5K display, and triple 50MP camera system

Motorola’s latest mid-range smartphone, the Edge 60 5G, is now officially on sale in India, following its recent launch.

The device - which pairs a sleek design with high-performance hardware - is available starting today through multiple online and offline channels.

Priced at Rs 25,999, the Edge 60 5G is being offered at an effective launch price of Rs 24,999, thanks to a limited-time bank discount of Rs 1,000.

The initial sale window opens at 12 noon today on Flipkart, with early buyers set to benefit from additional deals, including exchange offers and no-cost EMI options.

A Premium-Looking Mid-Range Device

According to India TV recent reports The Edge 60 5G comes in a single variant with 12GB RAM and 256GB internal storage.

It also boasts a vegan leather back with IP-rated water and dust resistance, echoing design cues seen in premium smartphones.

One small surprise: for a phone in this segment, the use of Smart Water Touch 3.0 technology for improved touch response - even with wet hands - is a welcome inclusion.

Not something typically found at this price point.

Standout Display and Camera Features

Front and center is a 6.67-inch 1.5K pOLED display with an edge-to-edge quad-curved design.

It supports a 120Hz refresh rate and can reach up to 4,500 nits of peak brightness - a spec that, on paper, should deliver excellent visibility even in harsh outdoor conditions.

For photographers, the triple rear camera system is headlined by a 50MP main sensor with OIS, paired with a 50MP ultra-wide lens and a 10MP telephoto.

On the front, a 50MP selfie camera takes care of video calls and self-portraits.

One point of note: Motorola hasn’t highlighted any AI-assisted camera modes in the spec sheet - somewhat unusual in today’s AI-first smartphone era.

Performance and Software

Powering the device is the MediaTek Dimensity 7400 processor - a capable chipset for mid-range performance. Combined with 12GB of RAM (expandable virtually), this configuration should be more than adequate for most daily tasks.

Running Android 15 out of the box, Motorola is promising three years of major OS updates, which helps position the Edge 60 5G as a future-proof option.

Available Across Major Retailers

In addition to Flipkart, the Edge 60 5G can be purchased via Reliance Digital and the Motorola India e-store.

Early buyers can also explore generous trade-in offers, which could make upgrading more affordable.

Color options include two Pantone-inspired finishes: Gibraltar Sea and Pantone Shamrock.

The latter, in particular, might catch the eye of buyers looking for something a little different.

What This Means for Users

At first glance, Motorola appears to be targeting users who want a polished, premium feel without stepping into flagship pricing territory.

The combination of strong display specs, camera versatility, and a large battery could make the Edge 60 5G one of the more compelling options around the Rs 25K mark.

Of course, real-world performance and camera tuning will ultimately determine how it fares against competition from Xiaomi, Realme, and Samsung in this busy mid-segment.

Context from Industry Experts

According to analyst Rajiv Bajaj from Counterpoint Research, “Motorola has steadily improved its mid-range presence in India.

The Edge 60 5G seems aimed at design-conscious buyers looking for a non-bloated Android experience.”

Meanwhile, Gadget360 noted in a recent hands-on preview that “the brightness and display curves on the Edge 60 5G are easily among the best in this segment.”
